What's new
For 2025, you’ll see some important enhancements to your benefit options including expanded coverage for mental health care as well as a new family building benefit.
Comprehensive reproductive health and family building for every employee
We are pleased to announce that beginning January 1, 2025, the Medical Plan will provide employees and covered dependents with coverage for fertility treatment, regardless of diagnosis of infertility. Fertility and family building coverage will be accessed by a new partner, Progyny. Progyny’s Patient Care Advocates will provide education and clinical guidance to better understand your family building options, help you find a Progyny network provider, coordinate appointments, help you understand what to expect, and more.
You must be enrolled in a Colgate-Palmolive Medical Plan option to access Progyny’s fertility support, and the out-of-pocket costs for fertility related medical services are the same for other benefit categories. Importantly, beginning January 1, you will be required to utilize the Progyny network for fertility providers and related prescription drugs, even if you are enrolled in the PPO or HDHP/HSA option - there is no out-of-network coverage for fertility services. Progyny maintains a network of providers that are subject to significant quality standards. For non-fertility-related services, you can continue to use providers within the Anthem BCBS network.
As you consider your Annual Enrollment choices for 2025 or if you are currently undergoing fertility treatments, you can learn more about the fertility-related services available and/or transition of care from Progyny by calling 1-833-215-1357 (phone lines open on October 12, 2024). You can search for in-network providers on progyny.com/findaprovider.
In addition, Progyny’s inclusive programs cover more than fertility. Beginning January 1, Progyny will provide family building and reproductive system support for all of life’s important moments including preconception, pregnancy and postpartum care, menopause, and men’s health; you need to be enrolled in a Colgate-Palmolive Medical Plan to access these services. Progyny will also provide support and guidance for adoption and surrogacy; you do not need to be enrolled in a Colgate-Palmolive Medical Plan to access these services.
More information about Progyny, and enhanced financial assistance for adoption and surrogacy benefits, will be delivered to all employees via email in late 2024.
WE care for WE
As part of our ongoing commitment to mental wellbeing and recognizing the struggles many face with access to mental health care, we are making an important enhancement to our mental health care coverage beginning in 2025.
Starting in 2025, if you and your dependents are covered under the Colgate-Palmolive Medical Plan, any claims for professional services from out-of-network behavioral health providers will be treated as if they were in-network for purposes of determining your out-of-pocket costs. This change is aimed at increasing access to care, giving you additional options to care for your wellbeing.
The Medical Plan option you choose determines what this means for you:
- Anthem BCBS EPO Option: You and your dependents will now be able to use out-of-network providers for behavioral health services. This is a significant enhancement, as the EPO generally does not cover out-of-network providers.
- Anthem BCBS PPO & Anthem BCBS HDHP/HSA Options: Your cost sharing for out-of-network behavioral health services will now be based on the in-network amount, reducing your out-of-pocket expenses.
We recognize the need for accessible mental health care and hope this change will provide more freedom and peace of mind in selecting the mental health professionals best suited to your needs.
Here’s a comparison of the current 2024 coverage versus the enhanced 2025 coverage:
Note that for covered services you receive from an out-of-network provider, you will also be responsible for the amount over the Maximum Allowable Amount (MAA) which is determined by the claims administrator.

At Colgate-Palmolive, We Are Caring
We strive to live our purpose every day to reimagine a healthier future for all people. Importantly, “reimagining a healthier future for all people” includes a focus on the wellbeing of our people.
Everything we do, how we work together and our collective drive to create that healthier future impact our mental wellbeing. We believe in a stigma-free culture of mental wellbeing, defined by our mental wellbeing principles:

Increase to Health Savings Account contribution limits
If enrolling in the HDHP/HSA plan, the HSA contribution limit for 2025 is increasing to $4,300 for an individual and $8,550 for a family. If you are age 55 and over, you will be able to contribute an additional $1,000 to the HSA.
Flexible Spending Account automatic increase option
If you choose to enroll in the Health Care Flexible Spending Account or the Limited Purpose Flexible Spending Account and elect to contribute the maximum allowable amount, you will have the option to have your election automatically increased to the maximum amount for 2025 if the IRS announces an increase after you make your election. During the enrollment process, you will choose whether to maintain your elected amount or opt for the automatic increase.

A reminder about your cost for Supplemental Life Insurance
Supplemental Life Insurance premiums are determined by your age, which increase as the insured individual gets older.
Accident and Hospital Indemnity Insurances
Starting in 2025, MetLife’s Accident and Hospital Indemnity Insurances will offer increased benefit payout options to better protect individuals and families in the event of unexpected accidents or hospital stays. This enhancement will provide even more financial protection and peace of mind.
Critical Illness Insurance
As a reminder, MetLife’s Critical Illness insurance offers a $50 cash reward each calendar year for individuals who complete any preventive screening. This benefit encourages individuals to prioritize their health and wellbeing by providing financial support for completing routine check-ups and screenings.
Legal Plan
MetLife’s Legal plan for 2025 will expand to include additional services for custody support and eldercare. This means that the plan will provide comprehensive legal assistance for families dealing with child custody issues and caring for aging loved ones.
