New and need-to-know for 2027

Default elections
If you don’t take action during this year’s Annual Enrollment, most of your current benefits will carry forward to 2027. However, we encourage you to review this resource carefully, consider your health and financial priorities, and elect the coverage that makes the most sense for you and your family.

Medical plan network changes
Anthem will be making limited network changes in 2027 that may affect some employees. Employees who live in New Jersey, Oklahoma, and Tennessee will experience provider network changes. In addition, some employees who live in New York and the Kansas City metropolitan area may also see changes to the Anthem provider network.
If these changes impact you, Anthem will provide additional information. Before you enroll, confirm that your providers will remain in network after these changes. For more information, click here, contact Anthem at 1-844-467-6308, or visit anthem.com.

Medical ID cards
An electronic medical plan ID card is available 24/7 on the Sydney mobile app or anthem.com. If you choose a new medical plan for 2027, or if you are staying in a plan with network changes for 2027, your new card will be available online on January 1. You will also receive a new card in the mail before January 1.
EyeMed vision plan enhancements
Vision coverage has been enhanced with three frame categories: Standard, Smart, and Hearing Frames. Learn more about these plan enhancements here.
Health Savings Account (HSA) contribution limits will increase for 2027
You may contribute to an HSA if you enroll in the HDHP/HSA plan. The annual contribution limits for 2027 are:
- Employee Only coverage: $4,500
- Employee + One or more coverage: $9,000
- Additional catch-up contribution if you are age 55 and older: $1,000
Flexible Spending Account (FSA) contribution limits and automatic increase option
The IRS typically announces FSA contribution limits for the following year after Annual Enrollment ends. If you elect the maximum annual contribution amount of $3,400 for your 2027 HCFSA or LPFSA, you will have the option to either keep that contribution amount or have your election automatically increased to the 2027 IRS maximum once it is announced.
Mental health care coverage
Colgate-Palmolive’s commitment to mental health remains strong. If you and your dependents are covered under the Colgate-Palmolive Medical Plan, claims for professional services from out-of-network behavioral health providers will be treated as in-network when determining your out-of-pocket costs under all medical plan options.
Cost for employee supplemental life insurance
Employee supplemental life insurance premiums are determined by your age and increase as the insured individual gets older. The costs change every five years, beginning at age 30. For example, if you turn 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, and so on in 2027, you will see an increase in cost at those ages.
Critical illness insurance
The covered conditions and payment schedule for critical illness insurance are changing. If you're currently enrolled and remain enrolled for 2027, the updated benefits will automatically take effect on January 1, 2027. Learn more here.
